Phoenix Sunaro, Kane Angel_of_Fire_by_garunresized

Name: Sunaro Kane
Nickname[Given]: Sunny
Age [Assumed]: 26
Age[Actual]: Unknown
Species: Phoenix Spirit/Goddess of the Sun
Height [Human]: 5’4
Dimensions as Phoenix:
- 15’9ft tall.
- Wing span 30ft.
- Beak: 3 ft
- Talons [each talon about 3-4ft]

Weight[Human]: 115lb
Weight[phoenix]: Un-measureable [Due to the fact she mostly consists of feathers and flames. Explained later.]
Hair color: Crimson.
Eye color: Crimson upon glance, but if you stare deeply within her eyes, you’ll see flames dancing within her irises.
Skin tone: Sun-kissed.
Affiliation (order, neutral, chaos): Chaotic Neutral

Powers:
~Spiritual~
- Spirit form: Sunaro can access both the ethereal and physical realms, being both a spirit and a material phoenix. In her spirit form, Sunaro can phase in and out of object, having the capabilities of a ghost to be immune to all physical attacks and non ethereal magic, along with not being able to perform attacks upon the physical body.

o Spiritual[Wisp] Fire: A magical/ethereal fire.

~Magical~

- Sun Phoenix Form: Sunaro’s body is an intricate design of magic, flames, and a strong soul. One can describe her body as a phoenix shaped Sun, with her soul as the core that holds it all together. While she has material eyes, a beak, feathers and talons—she doesn’t possess bodily fluids and organs [Told you it was complicated]. The temperature of her body is also very similar to the Sun—reaching over 6,000 Kelvin and only getting hotter the deeper inside one goes [this is often contained though lest she burn down the world].

o Fire elemental control: Sunaro can manipulate and conjure fire—leading to a series of attacks and abilities.
o Phoenix Feathers: Sunaro’s fire is more than just heat and flames, it radiates with magical life sustaining energy that if given to another person can heal wounds, enhance powers, and even revive someone. Only if given by Sunaro through will they bless, otherwise, they will only burn.

~Phoenix Abilities~

- Phoenix screech: An ear piercing screech that produces sound waves that reach the resonance of objects, vibrating them fiercely until they shatter. In other words, a sound that makes ears bleed [literally].
- Talons and Beak: Typical innate attacks where her body is used as a weapon against enemies.
- Wind control: While Sunaro cannot control wind to the extent of making it dance, she can used her very powerful wings to use wind as a tool. [i.e, flapping her wings harshly to create blades of winds or spinning her body rapidly to create a tornado]
- Flight: Self explanatory. However, use to her light mass, she can travel extremely fast within the air, though travels rather slow on land.

~Goddess~

- Sun Goddess form[Golden phoenix]: This is when Sunaro taps into her Goddess powers. Along with her powers increasing a tenfold, her abilities alter slightly. This is signaled by her flames and eyes transforming into a golden amber. This is often a last minute decision and lasts for only five minutes.

o Holy flames: Purification flames that harnesses no effects on and cannot be effected by the environment or material items, but instead burns away the sins within all living beings it touches. Eradicates the shadows, feeds odf the light, reaches through both the ethereal and material realm.

o Soul Melody: A melody from the phoenix was entices the soul and causes it to abandon the body, drawn to the potent magic flowing within her tunes. This is gradual and the longer the soul is exposed to the song, the more it detaches from the body—making any mana [magical] attack more difficult to perform.

o Sun Control: Manipulation of the rays of the Sun [Of any world.]

~Other~

- Emotion—Power relation: Sunaro’s powers are linked to her emotions. Her magical abilities will undoubtedly increase if she experiences strong emotions such as passion, love, hate, and anger. However, while she is the Phoenix of life, she is also a phoenix of love—unlike most, Phoenix reaches her full power when love and passion embraces her, rather than hate and anger.

- Immortality: [Don’t get excited]. Because Sunaro is a goddess, this means that she will not die of trivial things such as age, poison, or sickness. She will only die if she is slain by a powerful enough source.

- Human transformation: Sunaro transforms into her human form, where she mostly found in. In this form, her attacks are very mild and her temperature is lowered to about 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Strengths: Calming others, optimism, diplomatic solutions, and protecting.

Weakness: Water [if enough is thrown on her], sympathetic [Meaning she can be easily deceived], spiritual attacks [Because she is essentially a spirit]

Alliance Type (Holy, Good, Evil, Corrupt): Holy/Good

Friends: Her family [ Alec Kane, Alec Kane Jr., and Serenity Kane], mentor/master [Lex], and most members from the Chaos Squad.

Enemies: None particular.

Special Quirks: Often caught staring directly into the Sun.

History of Character[This…WILL be long]:

Phoenix Sunaro, Kane Mystery_egg_on_lavaresized Originally Sunaro was born on the Sun of Earth to a powerful Phoenix named Aurora—who upon laying her was moments from death. The phoenixes of the Sun were thrilled at her egg birth until a terrible omen presented itself moments after the egg touched the Sun’s surface. Two spirits, one illuminating with a golden glow and the other ominously coated in a onyx shade, embraced the egg and penetrated the shell into the chick inside. The phoenixes found this omen threatening to life’s existence and decided that the chick inside should be destroyed before birth.

Aurora, however, was not in agreement to this plan—maternal instincts blinding her from the possible danger her chick presented. Grabbing the egg within her talons, Aurora fled from the phoenixes, who chased after her throughout space. Old and dying, Aurora fought off the phoenixes with the last of her breath before throwing the egg into space and exploding into a grand super nova. The blast pushed the egg across the stars and fought off the phoenixes until it was too late to pursue the lost, unborn hatchling.

The cold vacuum of space should have killed the hatching and probably did at one point, but whether the spirits revived Sunaro or simply took over the unborn body, Sunaro’s instead went through a dramatic transformation. Most of her bodily flesh disappeared and was replaced by unique flames, fostering three intertwining souls. This reborn hatchling remained in a slumbering state until the time was right for it to waken and hatch.

Eons passed as the egg drifted through space, protected and nourished by the spirits that possessed it. However, after a very long journey, the egg came into contact with Earth’s atmosphere, heat cascading over the egg and awakening the chick within. As if luck didn't prove gracious enough, the egg was sent flying into depths of an inactive volcano just above a primitive village.

The villagers were entranced by the sight of the egg flying through the skies in a ball of flames and bravely hiked the large volcano until they reached a cavern within and watched the chick hatch among the magma pools. Blinded by the flames and stunned by the intense heat of the hatchling, the villagers named her Sunaro—which in their language meant Goddess of Sun.

For many years Sunaro lived within the village, worshiped and nurtured by the villagers—protecting them from all creatures that dared to attack. However, when the villagers were attacked by three vengeful dragons at the same time—Sunaro’s powers proved to be overwhelmed and during the intense battle, the volcano erupted and destroyed the village. Watching the pained expression of villagers faces as they were slaughtered by the lava and dragons—Sunaro found the emotions confusing. Sunaro never felt emotions—no anger, joy, sorrow, pain, or malice…only instinct [the instinct to protect herself and to protect her home]. She also realized that she had never found another of her kind—not once. Questions of who she was…where she belonged and what her purpose was bombarded her mind and thus Sunaro decided to search for an answer.

After traveling for many, many years, Sunaro discovered Onnet—a world much more advanced and full of knowledge. It was there that she discovered that she was a creature called a phoenix and that they were incredibly rare. Discovering what she could, Sunaro learned that Phoenixes harnessed many more powers that she had not utilized—one being the ability to change forms. Thus, Sunaro transformed herself into a human girl—allowing her to wonder Onnet without the hindrance of attracting attention.

Although it was never her intention, Sunaro’s human form was rather beautiful and this beauty attracted a young male named Ness. Ness was a womanizing character who could easily had just about any woman he desired, but when Sunaro didn’t respond the slightest at his advances [for she didn’t understand them], Ness’s interest was perked and he became goal orientated into making Sunaro his woman. In addition, Ness was a leader of a group called the Chaos Squad, a misfit of bandits that robbed taverns and caused havoc upon the town, and invited Sunaro into the group. Finding this the perfect opportunity to discover emotions—Sunaro accepted the request. This turned out to be one of the greatest turning points of her life.

It was in this squad that she met Lex. Lex was a wise, devious character that immediately sensed Sunaro was not human at all when he first saw her, amused by Ness’s interested in her. However, Lex’s interest was perked in Sunaro as well—for he quickly sensed that she was not like other phoenixes. Sunaro was also drawn to Lex—his wisdom and knowledge about the world was valuable to her and thus she confided in him, telling him about her past, about her worries, and about her journey to self discovery. It was then that Lex agreed to teach Sunaro how to feel emotions, control her powers, and somehow discover who she was.

As time passed, Lex and Sunaro [who was now nicknamed Sunny] continued their training sessions when available—however, Lex was a busy character that often left the Squad to handle his own business—leaving Sunaro to handle herself. As Ness continued to try and express his growing feelings for Sunaro and even opted to make her his girlfriend, Sunaro also found that her emotions were slowly transpiring. While Ness made her feel happy, she had yet to discover the emotions of attachment to another—thus became his girlfriend in order to attempt to draw out these most powerful emotions.

Her emotions became more and more complex as time went by but Sunaro never felt anything towards Ness. As she began to understand guilt, Sunaro realized that she was only using Ness as a tool and that it was wrong. However, by the time she confessed to Ness her real intentions and feelings—Ness appeared to have fallen in love with Sunaro and thus confessed it.

The reaction was stunning—emotions flooded Sunaro all at once and tears, for the very first time, sprouted within her eyes. Lex, who happened to be around at this time, feared that Sunaro’s pain was turning her human and that she would lose her identity as a phoenix. However, this was not meant to be. Deep within Sunaro, one of the spirit illuminated brightly and possessed the young phoenix. Under its influences, Sunaro begged Lex to erase her memories, to destroy the emotions she learned and ease the pain that squeezed her growing heart. Lex, though reluctant, erased her memories with a kiss.

Sunaro left the squad and was gone for years, wondering the earth again—however, when Lex erased her memories, his heart was too soft and he senses something wrong, and thus he made it temporarily. He had given Sunaro the time to control her powers more before the memory block broke and memories flooded back into Sunaro once again. Thus she returned to the Chaos Squad.

It was at this point that she finally laid her eyes on Alec Kane. Alec Kane, back when she was first introduced into the squad, was rarely seen and when he was, he often isolated himself in the basement of the headquarters [Also known as the “The Crib”]. More emotions sweeping into Sunaro’s heart, Sunaro felt empathetic towards the fallen angel—his isolation, emotionless exterior, and deep sorrow lingering within, reminding her so much of herself. So some reason, Sunaro felt an intense need to put a smile upon his face.

Although Alec Kane initially avoided the phoenix, as war broke out in the Chaos Squad with a clan that called themselves the Siths, and Sunaro stood by his side the entire time—encouraging and supporting the mentally distressed soldier, Alec Kane couldn’t help but develop feelings for the Sunaro. One night, Sunaro and Alec Kane were left alone and for the first time in her life, Sunaro experienced lust and passion under the influence of the angel’s touch upon her body. These emotions proved to be most detrimental to the Crib as she nearly burned down the entire place with her uncontrolled powers.

Confused and scared, Sunaro confessed this to Lex, who could only smile in amusement at Sunaro’s experience [as he had attempted to teach her lust as well in the past] before finally explaining to her the understood concepts of lust, passion, love. Sunaro wondered about these emotions, an intense feeling of discomfort yet curiosity exploiting her at the thought of loving someone—especially when she felt such intense emotions at simply the thought of Alec Kane.

As more time passed, other lustful episodes occurring between Sunaro and Alec Kane and life threatening battles occurring throughout the war, Sunaro realized that she had fallen in love with Alec Kane and he with her—but she feared to admit it, feeling as if something deep within her body was threatening her very being. But this could not be avoided forever, Alec Kane did not understand why Sunaro could not confess her love, he knew she felt it, and despite Sunaro attempts to get him to drop it, he simply couldn’t—he had to hear her say it. So she did…she confessed her love for him.

As a result, one of the spirits awakened and Sunaro was completely taken over by the golden spirit that revealed herself to be the Goddess of the Sun and Love. The goddess explained to Alec that the emotion of love was far too powerful for Sunny to control at her current level, and thus her memories needed to be wiped. Living life without Sunny was too much for Alec Kane to bare and he shed tears before the goddess at his mistake. The Goddess, heart bleeding from the sight, compromised to only wipe Sunny’s mind of the event—so long as Alec promised not to make the same mistake again. Upon Alec’s agreement Sunaro was returned.

As time passed, Sunaro and Alec Kane’s love grew to a substantial level—they got married and through an incredible display of miracles, Sunaro gave birth to twins [Alec Kane Jr. and Serenity Kane]. Things seemed wondrous for that family at first…however it wasn’t meant to last. The war with the Siths became potent with betrayal and hate. Sunaro, who was losing her husband to the war, became filled with malice and hate, darkness consuming her body until the second spirit, the Goddess of Void, began to corrupt her. This pain was eased by a third character named Vegeta. Vegeta was, in a sense, a love rival of Alec Kane. Vegeta had fallen in love with Sunaro, who comforted him in a time of sorrow and offered him her friendship. With Alec Kane gone in the war, and Sunaro never seeing the man she loved so much, she confided in Vegeta and without realizing it, developed a romantic attachment to him. While her affections for Vegeta could not even press upon her love for Alec Kane, Sunaro couldn’t deny the fact that she had fallen in love with Vegeta as well. Vegeta unable to handle the fact that Sunaro loved Alec Kane more, vowed to destroy Alec Kane and attacked him blind-sighted. Alec Kane killed Vegeta. The death of Vegeta caused rage in Sunaro and she shunned Alec Kane for it [who quickly realized that Sunaro had feelings for him]. Sunaro and Alec Kane grew more and more apart.

The distance growing between Sunaro and Alec were too much for both sides to handle, but impacted Alec the worse. Consumed with the thought of being abandoned by everyone, Alec Kane dropped his will to live and was killed by a Sith soldier named Diamond. Sunaro’s grief and pain from her lost lover consumed her mind and body and the Goddess of Void possessed her. Sunaro became known at the Dark Phoenix, threatening to kill the entire Squad and anything else that reminded her of the intense pain flowing within her heart. Alec, within the ethereal realm, discovered this and contacted Sunaro in attempt to tame the beast. It worked to a degree and Alec Kane was able to keep Sunaro passive until she was able to revive him.

This event made Sunaro and Alec’s love grow immensely. Alec Kane, tired of the war and discovering that Ness was a traitor to the squad, left with Sunaro at his side. Together wth his family, he started a new squad called "Second Life". Sunaro had achieved so much in the passing ten years, but even though she could feel emotions, she still felt as if she did not have control over her body. Sunaro knew that in order to truly find herself, she had to face the spirits within her and win.

Saying her good-byes, Sunaro left Onnet and traveled to the Sun in attempts to discover the Goddess of Sun within her. Her wish was granted and the Goddess confronted her. Sunaro demanded for the right to harness her powers, but the Goddess was skeptical in her ability—thus it was decided that Sunaro would have to land a single hit upon the Goddess in order to prove her worth. Sunaro attacked, but was easily blow away with such power that she crashed landed on Mars, many light years away.

It was there that Sunaro met Rondo, an old and powerful phoenix that claimed he expected her arrival and that he would train her to beat the Goddess. After this training, Sunaro returned to the Sun and fought the Goddess. The battled lasted for three earth days until Sunaro finally struck the Goddess and sent her crashing into the Sun’s surface. As promised, the Goddess agreed to grant Sunaro her powers. Their souls coalesced as one and Sunaro became the Goddess of the Sun.

More atuned with her body, Sunaro realized that the other spirit was banished—though she had not a clue where it was. Later it turned out that the spirit had possessed her daughter [but that’s a different story]. Reborn for the second time in her life—Sunaro returned home.

However, things were different. Upon her coalesced spirit with the Goddess, Sunaro realized that she did not possess the human indulgences that she once carried. Her phoenix side had suddenly dominated the human side she had developed for many years and things such as desire no longer existed. While Sunaro undoubtedly loved her husband and her children—Sunaro felt detached from them. She was no longer attracted to Alec Kane, or any other human for that manner nor did she feel the instinct to nurture her children. She had become detached to all human lifestyle in her connection to the Goddess. Alec Kane could not accept this—he could not accept not being able to touch his wife, express his love, or feel her affectionate towards him. With a bleeding soul, Alec Kane divorced Sunaro.

The pain Sunaro felt from being separated from her husband was unbearable, but she respected his wishes. Sunaro left her home and decided to explore the world on her own, attempting to find new ways to help with her new powers.

More years passed, but Sunaro’s yearning to be with Alec Kane eventually brought her back to Onnet. Alec Kane, who sensed Sunaro’s presence within Onnet once again, searched and found her. Through a surprising act, he asked her to be his wife once again. Sunaro had never felt so much joy in her life. Alec explained that he didn’t care if Sunaro could not be near him or the children, and while he didn’t realize it at first, all he needed was to know that she loved him. Sunaro, frivolous at this, embraced her husband with emotional eyes and promised that she would love no one but him.

Sunaro left Onnet again with a lighter heart and now travels through the realms and worlds, searching for a new life that can fulfill her purpose as Goddess—although her heart would always be with her children and husband back in Onnet.
