The vendor looks at the little girl and is ready to shoo her away, but looking at her thin and pale face, the vendor sighs with a smile. "Go on deary, it is ok to take one." Her voice is scratchy and aged, her face is full of wrinkles. She wears a shawl that has seen more years than Gemini looked. She reaches out with a thing and wrangly hand and grabs a decent size roll, squeezing it in front of the little girl. "Here, this one is very soft. Very fresh, you can still smell it as if it just came from the oven." Gemini looks at her wondering what she is talking about. What is an oven. She sees that the old woman is offering her something that the smell alone makes her midsection rumble. Oh the aching! She grabs the roll instantly and briings it to her mouth for a taste. She takes a small bite, unsure of it. She rolls it around in her mouth for a little bit, the roll hot and soft. Her mouth waters and she chews. With each motion of her jaws in this chewing, more of the taste is released. Her eyes open wide with excitment and she quickly eats the rest of the roll. Surprisingly, she had a full feeling and didn't want to ask any more. "Thank you so very much. That was . . . I don't know the word, but I like it!" She runs up to the old lady and gives her a hug, which the vendor returns. "Now listen, I can tell you are new here. Be wary, there are creatures about and you must keep your guard. Explore your heart out with a cautious mind." With that, the vendor pushes her towards the city more and returns to her sales. Gemini nods and heads toward the city. What creatures were out there? She decides to "explore" and see where her bare feet took her.
