| The Val'Daria Palace was once an ancient demonic temple. But when the Lorfae drove out the demons, they destroyed all the alters, but left the temple itself, for it was strongly fortified. After the conclusion of the war with the demon horde, the lorfae built around the temple and made it the center peice of their new fort. It was more as a moral boost, to show their people that the demons could be fought.
Over the next six hundred millenia, the palace has gone through major changes, each race that owned Val'Daria either adding too, or destroying to meet their needs and comforts. As it stands now, the only thing original is the central temple, where the council holds voting. With massive gardens and lawns surrounding the temple site, the rooms of the palace hold the living quarters of the council, military leaders, diplomats, dignitaries, servants, as well as the heads of all the other minor councils that are throughout the city. Four guard towars, one in each corner, keeps watch of the grounds, while the barracks of the guards is posted at the front and side gates. The Northern Wall is shorter by twenty feet so that those living in the northern quarters can look out at Vastwind.

Here are shops owned by some of the most wealthiest merchants in all of Greater. The Grand Avenue holds shops from all three continents of importance. Anything legal can be purchased in the market district. Because of opportunity, and mass quantity of people, both the guards and police patrol the district, even though theft wards are abundant.

It is the tallest building in all of Val'Daria, and the third tallest in all of Demigora. Second oldest building, next to the palace, this is where all guilds and factions come to lay their claim to legality. Any group not registered with the guild is deemed uncontractable, meaning that anyone hiring out the group will be punished for whatever law is broken. Those that are registered can conduct contract agreements on anything from piracy, plundering, raiding, assassination, or acts of war. There are seven administrators that run the Administration, yet none can hold officer for longer then ten years at a time. Within the building are the offices of each legalized faction, where people can go lodge complaints, ideas, or join.
Val'Daria's Guild Administration has the only non regulated teleportal, connecting to the other two Guild Administrations upon Lesser and Divide. This way, any new faction joining upon the other continents can be legalized on Greater right away.

Most of the black market is down by the docks, quickly gathering their goods before inspection. Some places are well known for being black market hubs, like on the outskerts of town in Oblivion Tavern and Inn. The head 'shop' is held in the Market District in Black Dragon's. Being a legal establisment, the shop cannot be raided. And after centuries of complaints, the guards no longer harrass those coming out of the shop.

The only city to have 'police' agents, they mainly act as detectives and information gatherers. Most cases are handed off to the guards, though there are plenty of jail cells that the police watch over. The more dangerous criminals are held by the military.

This prison is located on the far western part of the city, overlooking the high cliffs. A massive building with black obsidian walls, fire and lightning crystal centries posts, and a guard squad consisting of over twenty-thousand, this prison only has four areas, though it is massively tall, making it look like a mountain from far away. Once you are locked up here, you never come out, unless transported to the arena to be a life long gladiator. Processing, "Stables", Cell housing maze, Centry Towers | 1 | 13 | Huh? The prison... Mon Nov 01, 2010 1:11 am Malach | | Gladiators, fighers, warriors, welcome to the Val'Dariah Arena. Third largest in all of Demigora, this arena seat well over seven hundred thousand people, able to stage twenty different combate areas. With elevators to bring combatants up, and some of the strongest shields on the planet to keep our paying customers out of harms way, anyone can come and lay their claim to glory! Every type of match is sanctioned here.

Stretching along the coastline, Vastwind Docks covers about fifteen miles along, with a mile into the city. Being it's own district, it has it's own laws. The Sea Merchants guild has their home base in the center of the district, while the Sailors Guild and the Naval Academy sit on the opposite corners of the district. Most ships are merchant ships, with a few pleasure cruise ships taking people all over Vastwind to go site seeing. The travel agency has an office in the district, along with many mercinary guilds. Yet the largest guild in the district is held by the Fishman's Guild and Market. Making up over seventy percent of the owners of the docks. They are usually the ones that settle disputes, having their own courts, even when it involves the military. The only ones that can over-rule FGM is the council of Val'Daria. Wed Oct 27, 2010 12:49 am Darque | | Located in the northeast corner of Val'Dariah, between the Market District and the Military District, the Temple District holds all major, minor, and unique faiths and teachings. The center of the district houses the Grand Library, where writings from all over the world have come to be stored. Only two libraries are greater then that of the Grand Library: Library of Necros and Hell-Gate Library on Dark.
Most temples, churches, mosques, and places of worship within the district are well protected or guarded. The only laws of the district are those of the city. Though, through most religions, public exicusions for breaking moral laws is permitted. Only one standing rule to follow in the Temple District: No trying to convert. Those that break this rule are imprisoned, go to trial, and usually are stripped of citizenship, or banished to Dark.

Only two are larger; at the Tower of Necros, and a private library held by the Khan family in a hidden location on Greater. One can literally find any book here on any subject, including works done on other planets. Every time a book passes through the hub, it is automatically copied and placed in the special section in the library. Aside from the palace and military fascilities, the library is the most heavily guarded structure, with many thousands of protective wards, from fire, all the way down to mold wards. Stealing books is a major crime in Val'Dariah, punishable by banishment or worse.

It does all the healing, medicine distribution, as well house those of the mentally ill in it's central wing. There are no doctors, only healers. Anything that is wrong with you, usually because of the military training, is corrected at the hospital.

Many families of the city own massive plots of land within, while the richest have keys that open doors to the necropolis's that maze underground throughout the city itself.

You wish to join Val'Dariah's army, knights, or mercenaries, Greater's armies, knights (sky and ground), merc groups, or soldier's for hire, this is your place. Five major factions make up the Military District: Army, Marines, Knights, Merc's, and Scouts. Val'Dariah has the second largest standing military, thanks in part to the Military District. If you wish to join, or are recruited, this is where you go to train. Yes, even those with magical powers can come join the military. All are welcome here. Sat Dec 11, 2010 5:23 pm Audrey | | With the creation of portal magic, thanks to the elves of Lesser, vast systems of teleportals were created to help move goods, armies, and information. Val'Dariah was the second place to get a Travel Hub. The main Hub sits upon the cliffs, over-looking the Dock District. With fifty-thousand portals, most connected throughout the world, it is one of the busiest places in the city. Half the hubs are for disembarking, the other half for arrivals. Most travelling to places within the continent have massive time openings.
There is also a special Travel Hub, created five thousand years ago, that connects other worlds with Demigora. This is the most heavily guarded hub, for there have been times that creatures coming from other worlds have been very hostile and aggressive. This hub is the only one that allowes shields from other planets that aren't maintained by wards or charms. Most creatures coming through pass on by, but every now and again, someone comes through that wishes to stay. Within the hub itself is a creature registry. One would not think that there was a city beyond the boundaries of the park.

Making up the latter third of the city, with over twenty-one million residents and growing, this part of the city is the most protected, mainly due in part of the rich, who hold houses up to the walls of the city.

Every thousand years the walls are removed and the city expanded. This is when the city is most vulnerable. The only walls not destroyed are those surrounding the palace, the fortress, and along the cliff faces. The city has become massive, though no where near the level of Bridge City, Colony, and Zandiara. Not a straight wall by any means, every 'corner' holds a guard tower, with post zones every fifty yards apart. The walls aren't just for the Demon Horde Armies, these walls protect the city from all invaders, even though upon Greater.

Not enough space to actually hold within the city itself, those that can't afford the city life are forced to live in the slums, away from the protection from the wall and constant patrols.
