An interesting place to clear one's mind.

He needed to think. There was too much going on inside of his head. Appearing in one of the many back allies, he walked slowly southward. He ignored all the people in the ally, not realizing where he was walking at. His thoughts kept him pretty occupied.

He had missed his chance. He had been so close! Had his mother not shown up, Lex would have been dead for sure. That demonic energy wave was just a distraction. He had another way of killing his father. He just wanted him occupied with that while the other spells took affect. And since he had set the wards and spells to his father's life signature, he was rather glad no one got hit by the spells upon the arena floor.

Why had his mom protected Lex? He would easily come back. It wasn't like he could destroy the seal upon his father's soul. He was still trying to figure that one out. And what was with Wraith? How bad was he missing his lost fiance? That poor kid of his.

A few elvin women, scantly dressed, approached him. He stopped, looking up at them as they began to tell him what they were willing to do with him for the right price. Shaking his head, waving them away, he continued on. So he was in the red light district? Perfect. No one would bother him here. Who would ever think to look for a prince in a place like this?

He stopped suddenly. In fact, this was exactly a place to look for someone of his stature. Damn it, where had the shadows taken him this time and why? He had to remember, the shadow realm was his father's allied realm. No wonder he couldn't summon a clone to attack his father. He had tried the moment he sensed him appear in the arena. Knowing his intent, they had denied him. Bastards.

Her strides are smooth, even though she has to shorten the length of each one to allow the smaller figure at her side to keep up. She stays protectively close as she casts a suspicious glance over their current surroundings, for herself she has no worries, since she has been in far worse places than this. Her companion however, is a different matter. Her sheer size is enough to turn most of the human filth that may have bothered them away, a few of the more toughened, or those that craved a hint of danger with their sport had only to meet her eyes to decide they would have better luck elsewhere. Of course, the massive battle axe slung across her back might have a little something to do with the reactions though. The absolute only reason she was leading her companion through this area was that it was the closest route to a nights shelter and hopefully better medical attention than she could provide.

Her slender jaw is set, a grim look stamped across her delicate features. She tries to keep her forward momentum even with her friend, but it is increasingly difficult. Pain hazes her eyes as darkness slowly eats at the edges of her vision. The only thing keeping her going at this moment was that fact that all of her focus was locked on the towering figure moving beside her. She can smell her own blood, as well as the toxic silver coursing through her veins and preventing her from healing herself. The smell is rank enough to cause her gorge to rise, but she swallows...hard and keeps moving. She will stop when Atrocity stops and not before. She repeats these words to herself, like a litany...or a prayer. She pays no attention to their surroundings, or the fact that there are possibly dangerous people watching every move they make. She stumbles ever so slightly, her foot slipping on refuse, and Atrocity's hand shoots out to steady her, and keep her moving forward.

Pushing forward, moving into the more 'dangerous' parts of the district, he keeps to himself. Though many pimps grumble as he walks pass their women without looking at them, many figure he is looking only for a specific type. Of course he hears the curses, calling him all kinds of rasicst things. He would destroy them, if he but cared about what they spoke about. He just didn't. They were lower then him on many levels.

At long last he looked ahead, feeling the people depart before him rather quickly. His powers were low, so no one should be afraid of him. His emerald green eyes quicky caught sight of the large woman up ahead, her axe shining brightly in the dim shadow. He shrugged inwardly, continuing on. He didn't want trouble, but he wasn't going to move for anyone, even if they were almost 5 inches taller then him. He was going to continue to walk down the center of the ally, his thoughts still consuming him. He needed a drink. If only he didn't have the poison ward upon his body. Alcohol would do him some wonders, he figured.

She continues to move thru the streets, her grip firm on the arm of her companion. She is actually bearing a great deal of her friends weight, to keep her upright and mobile, so that they look like less of a target. The pelt her friend is wearing conceals her injuries from sight, and the clear area around them keeps anyone from getting close enough to smell the blood covering the girl. If they can keep moving at this pace they should clear this den of wretchedness soon.
She eyes the clear area ahead of her, and the male figure in it's center. She changes the direction of their path ever so slightly, so that they will walk to one side of him, with herself between her friend and the man that was dangerous enough to create his own clear path.

Detecting the small alteration in their path, she looks up and forces her eyes to focus. She see's the reason for it quickly enough. A large man was walking almost straight toward them. She gives up trying to keep her eyes focused, her strength is fading quickly enough already. She is grateful that Atrocity is bearing most of her weight, even though her hold looks effortless. She trusts Atrocity to get her through this, and hopefully, to keep her alive while she does it.

Noticing the woman slightly change her path, he then noticed the other next to her. He only shrugged inwardly as he moved onward. But his demonic senses were up, thanks to his mother showing up. So when he got within twenty yards of the two women, he stopped suddenly. There was blood in the air, and it was fresh. But there was something else. Silver?

He looked at the two women suddenly, his eyes narrowing. Without warning he held up both hands, two palm sized orbs of energy firing out towards the two women. But they weren't aimed for them. Six males sentinal soldiers and three female harpie soldiers were desending upon the two women. His orbs struck the leads, causing a backlash wave, striking down the others, as well as the nearby 'civilians'. It wasn't meant to kill. He rarely did kill spells. But no one should ever attack someone that is already injured. That just wasn't nice.

His violet aura appeared around him, his eyes shifting to a bright blue. Those with magical inclinations quickly scattered, while those with ties to such people left quickly with them. He stood there, watching those he had just hit, as well as the two women. The small one needed to be healed, and quickly.

"If you trust me, bring her here. I will strip the silver from her body so she can heal. No lycan should have to suffer like that," he spoke, bringing forth another energy orb. He wasn't going to let the group attack her, no matter what.

She grunts in response, eyeing the man with suspision, even though he had spotted the creatures that had been about to attack. In her experience strangers did not just offer assistance out of the kindness of their hearts. Her choices where quickly being taken away from her though, Beriana had gone completely limp in her grasp. The girl had fought hard to make it this far and she had lost conciousness.
She looks around once more, eyeing the sky as well as the street in both directions before laying Beriana gently on the ground before her. The dust and filth of the street was no fit place for her friend, but again she had no choices. She glares at the man before her, offering up some of her rare words. "I will watch our backs, if she dies..." she gives a grim smile "I will die killing you."

She stiffens, straightening up to see the threat that she hadn't smelled coming because her senses where drowning in the scent of her own death. The sudden movement was to much for her battered body, ripping open the few wounds that had started to crust over. The fresh wave of pain brings her down. She is hanging in her friends iron grip. As Atrocity lays her down she longs to dispute her words, but she lacks the ability to move as her vision clouds over and she gives in to the wave of blackness surging over her.

When he got there he saw people running and hiding. As he looked around he saw a man he has yet to see but smells kinda like Lex...a son maybe. He saw a new woman he did not know her the something that he did not expect......Beriana, and she was hurt. Was it his fault she was hurt. Was it because he didn't go after her when she left. Was it something he could have stopped had he been there. Anger flaired acrossed his face as his energy ripped through the area like a scalding electric wind. He took a few steps forward and whispered "Beriana"

He paid the large woman's words no mind. She couldn't hurt him even if he let her. But he was doing a kind service none the less. As she laid the poor girl down, his powers swept over the road, clensing it before she was down upon the ground itself. Walking over to her, he nodded to the large woman and knelt down.

Silver was never easy to get out of people, for it did not have a magnetic charge about it. Or at least it wasn't naturally magnetic. Placing his hand upon the young woman's shoulders, his violet aura slowly changed to white, pushing his angelic powers forward. While he used his ability of partical control to find each bit of silver within her body, he needed to also heal her.

Grabbing hold of each silver atom with his powers, he slowly pulled back the silver through her wounds, the pool of it appearing near his feet. As the last of the silver left her body, his angelic aura appeared fully around her, healing her within throughout. At long last he rose, looking around at those that dared to stay. The group that would have attacked had decided to stay.

"She is under the protection of a Khan. You know my parents. If you don't, then you are fools. Go, or I will kill your entire clans without hesitation. You sicken me, attacking someone already injured. Go!"

His eyes narrowed, watching the group vanish into the shadows. He would have to remember their faces. This was not going to end well for them if they lingured. He would make sure of it.

Turning to the large woman, he bowed slightly, "She is healed and saved. But I believe some food should help her get her strength back."

He turned from them and continued on his way as if he had not helped them out at all. His powers would linger around them, if the group chose to attack them later on. He would know. But then he haulted, feeling the power before him. It was another lycan. Great, just what he needed. "Fuck, now what?"

She turned sideways, with her back to a wall. She was unwilling to turn her back on the stranger, despite his offer to aid her friend. She scans both sides of the street and keeps a wary eye on the small group that had tried to ambush them, they stayed well back, but they lingured still.
When the man rises to his feet and makes his announcement, her eyes narrow. She dislikes his statement of protection over her friend but she doesn't argue with it, since his name evidently carries a good deal of weight, being as the creatures surged over each other in their efforts to depart quickly.
As the man who had helped Beriana began to walk away from her still prone figure, Atrocity approached her and knelt down beside her. There was a startlingly large disk of puddled silver beside the girls body. Atrocity looks the girl over, her flesh is whole inside the gaping tears in her dress and she is alive, albeit still unconcious. Atrocity picks of the solid silver disc and slips it between her flesh and her armor, strange things had come in handy before, and a warrior never neglected a potential resource.
She nods her head in response to the man's words, and places her unslung axe on the ground beside her as she prepares to lift the girl over her shoulder to carry her out of here. But she stops and picks her axe back up as she surges to her feet in response to the man's sudden outburst.
She stands between her unconcious friend and this new potenial threat. A flick of her wrist sends the massive axe nimbly twirling in front of her, the faint light of the alley catching on the edge of the blade in an almost hypnotic but deadly glitter. Her eyes quickly take in the newcomer....His sheer size and the scars cutting across his face, coupled with the stories her friend had shared with her told her who it was. "Sergei..." she says, her countanence carved of stone as she stills her axe.

He takes a few steps forward and stops when he hears his name said and all at once his power drops to nil. He takes a deep breath then letting it out slowly he steps towards them and looks down at the limp body of Beriana and sorrow played acrossed his face but he let it pass. He needed to see if she was ok, and if she was then to get her out of there. He walked past the woman that was only slightly shorter than him 3 inches if her had to guess and with a rather large ax, so she was strong as well. Maybe he wasn't needed, maybe he was in the way. As these thoughts ran through his head he stopes next to the large woman and looks off into space.

Her lashes flutter and she slowly opens her eyes. She looks up at the two towering figures looming over her, at first she thinks she is seeing double, and that it is just Atrocity but a few quick blinks proves that she isn't. It is Atrocity and..."Sergei" she breathes the name out softly.
She gasps in surprise, and is amazed that no pain accompanies the action. She starts to reach out a hand to touch him, thinking that perhaps he is a halucination brought on by her impending death but her amazement is quickly overridden by a much stronger emotion...a different form of pain.
Sergei is there, true, but that quick inhalation brought his scent to her... he reeks of another woman...and fresh sex.
She scrambles to her feet, lurching away from the scent clinging to his flesh. She stands beside Atrocity, blood stains and tears in her clothing with the reek of silver still hanging around her and stares at him in horror.

As she reaches out to him he starts to hold his hand out for her. He wanted nothing more at that moment than to touch her to feel that she was real. When she scrambles away something close to a dagger in the gut flashed acrossed his face. Why was she suddenly trying to get away, then it hit him. The faint smell of sex still in the air. Not just from the area around him but a mixed smell of his and Mae's. He fell to his knees looking at her holding his hand out to her almost begging her to come to him. He was weak and young and put in the right place at the right time it was bound to happen but no that he was thinking about what it had done to someone that was so close to him he was no ok with it. She must hate him now, but could she be mad at him. She left him without a word, just like a cloud in the wind....gone. But could she be mad....should he be mad. There was to much to know and no time to sort it out.

He would have fought the lycan, and won, but seeing how the two women knew him, he decided to let him pass. This was just getting more complicated. This is what happened when he helped people. Always. Why couldn't he be like Lex and just do what he wanted? Oh that was right, he had a sense of right and wrong, good and bad, holy and evil. Being half human and half fire demon, he was the perfect balance of the two.

Looking from the large woman to the small and back again, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit. He could smell it. The scent was fresh. Had he not stopped to help, he never would have cared to notice. But it was there.

"Sergei, is your name, sir? Maybe the girl backs away cause you smell of sex." He breathed deeply, shaking his head a bit. "A cousin type, by my calculations. Not a demon, but perhaps...." He sniffed again. "Ah, a vampress. A powerful one. Hmm." He thought a moment, knowing the scent well. "Mae McCloud. I know that perfume. Evil creature she is."

Looking over to the group, he bowed his head slightly. "Sorry, speaking out loud. I'd be careful about that vampress. She is dangerous. If she claims you, these two will be in danger. And being a council member, she knows many dark societies to do her bidding." He looked up at the larger woman. "Even one as powerful as you would have a hard time. Maybe you should hire help to keep you safe?"

She looks between Sergei and Beriana, surprised by the girl's actions towards him after all she had been told. Her facial expression never changed but Beriana would know of her puzzlement.
Her confusion only lasted until the man that had saved Beriana spoke however. With the mans every word her countenace grew steadily darker.
She takes a step forward, a snarl curling her lip, partially blocking Beriana from Sergei's veiw.
In response to the other man's statement that they may need to hire help however, she turns slowly to face him, and hefts her axe, lightly running her thumb along the side of the edge by way of a reply.

Upon noticing Atrocity's surprise, which is rare for her to say the least, she regains her brain function.
She takes a small step backward, putting just a little more space between herself and Him. She clears her throat and attempts to breathe only through her mouth, to eliminate as much of the smell of betrayal as possible.
She turns and gives her attention to the man that had appearantly healed her. "Thank you for your concern, but I promise you we should be in no danger. Sergei is a man and free to do as he wishes. As to hiring help, we are so new to this place that we aren't even sure as to where to find lodging, much less bodyguards or some such. We shall manage to take care of ourselves if it comes to something like that."
She startles and quickly inclines her head to him. "I beg your pardon, I seem to have misplaced my manners. I am Beriana Valiedhiel and this" she indicates her friend "is Atrocity. We would like to thank you for helping us, and for saving my life, we are indebted to you, sir."

So she was mad but did she have the right to be. He was still holding his hand out to her some but she ignored him so be it. He stood up looking at the ground his voice just over a whisper "I was truely happy to see you but it seems that the feeling is one way. And as for being on the council, I have a seat as well." he says not looking at any of them "I will leave you to your ways" he says and turns to leave knowing she won't come after him. With one last look over his shoulder at her he leaves.

She reaches out and lays a hand on his shoulder, halting his departure. While many simply saw her for a hulking giant of a female, next to a man that was so similar in height and build to her, her true porportions were revealed. It was an odd moment for her, to look almost dainty, just like most women.
She shakes the sensation off and decides the situation calls for her to be loquacious. "You do not get to leave, there are things which you must know." She removes her hand from his person and reaches into the small space afforded between the section of her chest plate and stomach, in which she stored small valuable things to prevent even the most nimble of thieves from ever having a hope of getting too. When she brings her hand back out, in her grasp lays a small family portrait. The portrait is of a lovely woman, holding a young toddler and flanked by two identical and handsome men. She extends this out to Sergei.

She takes a deep breath, ignoring the smells saturating the air here. "Sergei...This portrait is the reason I left. That night, in the meadow...When I reclaimed Tegrens pelt...This was inside a small pocket, along with a note."
She bites her lip, her stomach in turmoil, for she is about to hurt him, and it is not intentional. This would hurt him even if they were on the best of terms. "I would like to introduce you to the Pack Leader, Nikka...Nikka Kristof. Appearantly Alexi wasn't born a Tiger, he was made one; just as Nikka was made a Wolf. Nikka is on the right, Alexi is on the left, and I am sure you can guess who the woman and child are..."
Tears silently run down her cheeks, and she struggles to continue to speak. "The note Sergei...The note said that he had been that close to you before, and he could be again. Any time he wished. Sergei...He told me what he did to Tegren...It's horrible!... and he said he would do so much worse to you."
She takes a few gasping breaths, as Atrocity lays a hand on her back, encouraging her. "Tegren's soul is tied to the pelt, that's why it is still fur and not skin. But it's only his soul...Nikka said that if I didn't come to him, he would do the same thing to you, only he would tie your mind to it as well, so that you would be aware and able to think and remember...I had to go Sergei, I left without talking to you because I knew you wouldn't let me leave, and I couldn't risk you...I just couldn't."
A sob escapes her, but she forces herself to stop. She has held everything inside, keeping the shattered pieces of herself together through force of will and with the help of Atrocity. "Nikka is dead now, and I can't free Tegren, but you have moved on...I wish you happiness Sergei, here in this new place." She gives him a wavering smile, wiping the tears from her eyes, before turning and leaning against Atrocity, exhausted beyond anything she had ever known before.

Why did he have to have a heart, and why did he smell his father upon the lycan? So many things to consider, so many more questions to ask for help with. Man he hated how this day was turning out. How could his mother have stopped him when he was so close to killing his father? And now all of this. He shook his head, hearing everything that they were talking about hit with him for some odd reason.

"Damn angelic side of me," he whispered. "I just can't leave well enough alone, can I?"

Stepping forward towards the two giant people, he held up both hands, "Ok, I don't know what is going on, clearly, but I can't just walk away from you guys after hearing all of this. Sergei, you are a council member here? With my father's smell, and spiritual echo still upon you, I am guessing that he brought you to this world and made it to where you are now in a seat of power. Typical creature," he spat, "Never leaving anything alone to become natural. So be it. I don't care about that. But I can't just up and leave someone I have just healed, knowing full well that their life could still be in danger." Turning to the smallest of the group, he bowed his head slightly, "Therefore, whether you like it or not, I shall accompany you until the danger has passed. I know of a place that offers lodging. It isn't far. In fact, it has just opened up business, from the looks of it. If you are willing to trust me, follow me. Or rather..."

Suddenly a second Skyler appeared next to himself, looking exactly like, well, himself. Both Skyler's looked at one another, inspecting each other to make sure nothing was out of place.

"Skyler Khan is my name," spoke both. "My clone here will keep you company until I am done doing what I set out to do. I shall return instantly when I am ready. But for now, he will keep you safe in this city."
He turned, leaving his clone behind.

"Well...hi!"

The moment she put a hand on his to stop his movement his power swirled around them in a scolding electric twister. And when he saw he picture and heard the explanation about it things worse. "I knew my father was turned and of his brother but to say that he would kill me.....I think not. I killed my father and I would have killed my uncle as well" he says then closes his eyes and takes a deep breath and let's it out slowly and reduces his power to just a tingle and looks at Sky "yes your father brought me here. He offered me a place where I would not have to hide what I am anymore and then offered me a spot on the council" he says then stops and really looks at Sky "the last weretiger....was all his things found"

She watches Sergei covertly, she is running her thumb across her fingers and the palm of her hand. Her hand was still tingling from touching his shoulder. She watches as his anger grows, but doesn't errupt, it only seems to ride the air. Her body is covered in goosebumps from the tingling bite of his power.
She shifts her weight from one foot to the other, her chain mail leggings rattle a little. She is having such strange reactions tonight, many of the things she is feeling are utterly new and unique to her. She tries to shrug off the sensation and devote her attention to the words of the other man...Skyler, but her eyes keep flicking back to Sergei.
It takes Skyler creating a clone of himself to get her focused again. She scowls, wondering what it is with him and thinking that she couldn't protect her friend... as well as why he was paying such attention to the girl and her welfare, not the set of them, but Beriana especially.

Skyler seemed to genuinely care, even if the concern was grudging at best. She listens to Skyler's words, unwillingly agreeing with it.
"You have already done so much for me, I wouldn't want to impose on you anymore. We would be grateful if you could tell us where to find an inn." She watches in shocked amazement as Skyler makes a clone of himself and then vanishes. So much for getting to have a say in something. Skyler had made his decision. While she was eternally thankful for his decision to heal her, she couldn't help but feel guilty about his continued care for her and Atrocity, a couple of complete strangers.
"Perhaps I was wrong to have left with out giving you a chance Sergei, and I am sorry for that. I can not and will not be sorry for not wanting you to be in danger though. I made my choices, and I will accept what ever consequences come from them." She stands up to her full hieght, which is nothing amoung this group, and squares her shoulders bravely. "I suppose that we will be going with Skyler now...But what will you do, Sergei?"
